SSteve
E-Tunez turned a passion for mechanical and electrical engineering into a synergy inside the ECU. Steve teaches Automotive Science at a local college, holds a background in electronic engineering, and is a methodical, systematic tuner — quality over quantity, one careful revision per day, every change logged.
His approach: build a solid baseline, then build on a vehicle’s strengths. Economy cars get hypermiled in the part-throttle columns; boosted cars get developed under boost; K-series get both. Knock is dialed in bit by bit until the tune sits right at threshold, and lambda and VE tables are refined to suit.
He started in the late ’90s with DSM Link on an AWD 4G63 Talon, moving through SAFC/VAFC, MegaSquirt and ECU Live to FlashPro, HP Tuners and Cobb — and has owned 60+ vehicles. His FA5 Civic Si was the first to run a custom flash in Canada, and the first FA5 to see -40° on the road to Thompson, Manitoba.
